Acceptance of Terms and Conditions / Contract of Hire
All bookings applications accepted by Strozzi Palace are subject to these terms and conditions that are deemed to have been accepted in full by the hirer and all persons in the party. Payment of deposit also indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
During peak season and high demand periods we reserve the right not to take one night bookings, and may enforce a night minimum stay restriction. Weekend bookings and bookings made in high demand periods for 2 nights which are then cancelled to a one night reservation will be charged for two nights, should the apartment not be resold.
We also reserve the right to decline a booking.
Confirmation of Booking
Your booking is only confirmed on receipt of payment of your booking deposit. Strozzi Palace will issue confirmation together with receipt of payment of booking deposit by email, post or fax.
All prices are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling and, unless otherwise specified. The prices quoted include all administration, marketing, and communication charges prior to the rental period. All prices are based on costs prevailing at the time of quotation and may be subject to change.
When a booking is made more than 28 days prior to the arrival date, a £50 booking deposit is required together with full booking details.
The balance of rent is to be paid 28 days before arrival. The payment card details held will be debited the balance of your account at this point.
If Strozzi Palace does not receive full payment by this time, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
When a booking is made less than 28 days prior to the arrival date, full payment is required to confirm the reservation.
Cheltenham Festival Bookings
Please note that full payment for bookings made for the Cheltenham Racing Festival in March each year will be required 60 days before the arrival date.
Booking deposits made for all Cheltenham Racing Festival reservations are non-refundable.
Methods of Payment
Payment must be made to Strozzi Palace in UK Pounds Sterling and must be clear of all bank charges, exchange rate variations, and any other deductions. We are pleased to accept the following methods of payment:
Visa, Access, MasterCard, Diners or American Express
Any suite booking cancelled more than 28 days before the arrival date is fully refundable.
Suite cancellations made within between 7 and 28 days of the arrival date are fully refundable, subject to a £25.00 cancellation fee. Please call us on 01242 650028 and or email firstname.lastname@example.org to advise of any intended cancellation.
Suite cancellations made less than 7 days before the arrival date are non-refundable. If you still wish to cancel, then please advise as early as possible as we MAY be able to resell the suite and offer some discretionary reimbursement.
You are therefore strongly advised to take out appropriate travel insurance cover to recoup any costs you may incur should you be forced to i) cancel or ii) curtail your stay due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Strozzi Palace reserves the right to cancel any confirmed booking if circumstances relating to the property, operation of its systems or its accommodation make it necessary. In this situation all monies paid will be returned in full. The Strozzi Palace can accept no responsibility for any other costs or losses incurred relating to unavoidable cancellation.
Facilities and Services
All apartments are fully furnished to a high standard and include a kitchen area with appliances, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen utensils.
A Broadband WI Fi Internet connection is provided. This service is free to use, however is not guaranteed. Strozzi Palace cannot be held accountable for any loss of connection.
A full inventory of equipment and utensils will also provided on request. If any items are missing you will be debited for the loss. Unless otherwise specified, the prices quoted for all serviced apartments include heating, electricity, water and television.
Number and ages of occupants
Only persons detailed at the time of booking may occupy the apartment. The apartment cannot be re-let/sublet to any other group/party without the written approval of Strozzi Palace.
Suites sleep two persons in Super King double beds. We cannot provide further beds in any suite.
Currently we don’t accept children under 12. Children over 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Occasionally, by explicit prior agreement only, we may be able to accommodate one baby in a travel cot.
Check-in and Check-out
All suites are usually available for occupation after 2:30pm on the day of arrival. All suites must be vacated by 11:00am on the day of departure.
If there is any delay in vacating the apartment beyond the agreed time, a full day's rental, calculated as one seventh of the weekly rate applicable, is charged to the client.
Damage to Suites
It is expected that the Suites be left in a reasonably clean and tidy order. You are responsible for any damage to the suite and its contents during your stay. If any items are missing during your stay with us you will be charged for their replacement automatically from the £200 pre authorised during the booking process. Any damage must be reported to the Operations Manager without delay
The hirer responsible for booking undertakes that no person will suffer anything to be done which would endanger the policy of our insurers in respect of the apartment and its contents which might make the same void or voidable.
Guests are advised that we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to your goods or personal belongings kept at the accommodation.
Termination by Strozzi Palace
Strozzi Palace has the right to terminate a booking at any time on the grounds of abuse to staff or other guests, mistreatment of the apartment or criminal activity on the part of those occupying the apartment or their guests. In such circumstances, Strozzi Palace is not obliged to provide or locate alternative accommodation. The period of notice and the proportion of refund are at the discretion Strozzi Palace.
Injury or Loss
Strozzi Palace cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the accommodation. We cannot be held responsible for any circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, mechanical breakdown, illness or failure of any public service supply.
Rights of Access
Representatives of Strozzi Palace or their subcontractors have the right of access to the Suites at any time, with due regard to the convenience of the hirer, for the purpose of inspection of the property and to carry out any essential repair or maintenance work.
Regrettably no pets of any kind are permitted under any circumstances. The client is liable for any infringement of this.
All information supplied by Strozzi Palace is given in good faith and is based on information available at the time. All reasonable measures have been taken to ensure the accuracy of any statement made either in writing or otherwise, but Strozzi Palace are not liable for any variation however caused.
Any complaints about the Suites or its contents, must be made in immediately by telephone on 01242 650028. We will take all reasonable steps to settle the problem.
In the event of any litigation arising from the booking of accommodation by Strozzi Palace, the Courts in England shall have sole jurisdiction on such arising matters and English law prevalent at the time shall be applied at the times.
We will not be liable for any delay, loss, damage or expenses incurred if your booking needs to be altered or cancelled or we are unable to perform our contractual obligations as a result of events beyond our reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions.
The apartment hire cost does not include any personal insurance cover of any kind. It is recommended that insurance be taken out against cancellation. It is further strongly advised that personal accident and medical insurance is also taken out.
Security of Tenure
As the Suites are used as serviced holiday accommodation they are exempt from security of tenure under the Rent Act.
Corporate credit facilities Strozzi Palace may be obtained on application. Credit facilities must be agreed prior to check-in. For full details and an application form write to The Operations Manager, Strozzi Palace, 55 St Georges Place, Cheltenham, Glos GL50 3LA.
All suites and all areas of the building are strictly NON-SMOKING and we reserve the right to charge a minimum £75.00 deep cleaning fee should you smoke.
Complaints or Misbehaviour
In the event of any dispute or should we receive a complaint regarding guest behaviour we reserve the right to terminate your stay without notice. Furthermore, we reserve the right to charge guests who cause a disturbance that incurs additional costs to the Strozzi Palace as a result of inappropriate behaviour.
The Strozzi Palace Hotel Suites are designed for double occupancy only. For insurance and Fire regulations purposed the names and addresses of all persons using the suites shall be notified at the time of making the reservation. Any guests visiting the suites shall be the responsibility of the account-paying occupant.
Effortless parking is available just 30m from our door in Chester Walk, directly behind the library opposite our foyer (see map). The car park is independently operated by Euro Car Parks. Please park, purchase and display a ticket. Note if you are staying 3 days or more, a Monday-Friday 5-day ticket is also available from the machine at £30. All bookings made directly online at strozzipalace.co.uk selecting ‘parking required’ automatically INCLUDE reimbursement of the cost of parking for ONE vehicle for the duration of your stay. If applicable for your booking, simply email a photo of your car park receipt(s) within 14 days of departure to email@example.com and we will reimburse the payment card used for your reservation with us. We will refund charges to a maximum of £13 for each 24hrs. We regret we CANNOT reimburse parking for reservations made via third parties (e.g. laterooms). Due to our arrangements with parking providers, we cannot refund claims made after 14 days from departure.
The Strozzi Palace accepts no liability for damage or loss from parked vehicles.
Regrettably, due to the restrictions of design and conservation of this historic listed building we are unable to provide facilities for disabled persons. Permission to install an elevator for guests was refused by the Conservation Officer of Cheltenham Borough Council thereby forcing this provision.
